SEO

Search engine optimisation measured in enquiries, not screenshots of rankings.

Here’s the uncomfortable part of our industry: it’s entirely possible to take a client’s money for a year, send them a tidy monthly report full of green arrows, and deliver precisely nothing to their bottom line. Rankings improved. Impressions up. Domain authority nudged from 22 to 24. Enquiries? Same as last year.

We have picked up a lot of clients from that exact situation, which is why we measure our work differently.

What we actually optimise for

The number of genuine enquiries your website produces each month. That’s the metric on the first page of your report, because it’s the only one that pays your staff.

Rankings still matter, obviously. They’re the mechanism. But a ranking is a means to an end, and treating it as the end is how agencies end up celebrating a number one position for a term that generates four searches a month and zero customers.

What’s included

Technical foundations

Before anything else, we make sure search engines can actually read and understand your site. Crawlability, indexation, site speed and Core Web Vitals, structured data, mobile rendering, redirect chains, duplicate content, orphaned pages, and the accumulated debris of every plugin anyone has ever installed.

This is unglamorous work and it’s often where the fastest gains hide. A site that was quietly blocking a third of its own pages from being indexed doesn’t need a content strategy. It needs the block removed.

Keyword and intent research

Not a spreadsheet of every phrase containing your industry name. A prioritised map of what your future customers actually type when they’re close to buying, separated from what they type when they’re idly curious.

The difference between “how does solar work” and “solar installer near me” is the difference between a blog reader and a customer. Both have a place. Only one of them has a place on your services page.

On-page optimisation

Titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, content depth and the architecture that ties it together. Written for humans first, because after two decades of algorithm updates Google has become quite good at spotting content written for Google.

Content that answers real questions

The pages and articles your prospects are already searching for, mapped against your commercial priorities so the effort goes where it converts.

Local SEO

Google Business Profile optimisation, citation consistency, review strategy, and the local signals that decide whether you appear in the map pack. If you serve a defined geographic area, this is often the highest-return work available.

Earned links from places that are genuinely relevant to your industry. No private blog networks, no directory blasts, no paying a stranger on the internet for a thousand backlinks. Those work right up until the moment they catastrophically don’t.

Reporting you can actually read

Enquiries first. Then the rankings, traffic and conversion data behind them, in plain English, with an explanation of what we changed and what we’re doing next. If a ranking climbed and enquiries didn’t move, we say so and treat it as unfinished.

Pricing that fits your business

We offer two models, and which one we recommend depends on your numbers rather than on which is better for us.

Pay-per-lead is our signature model and the one we’re best known for. You pay based on the enquiries you actually receive. Our incentives and yours point in the same direction, which is rarer in this industry than it should be.

Fixed monthly is the traditional option, priced upfront. It suits some businesses better: very high-margin, low-volume operations where a handful of leads is a big month, and at the other end, high-volume tighter-margin businesses where per-lead pricing gets unpredictable for both sides.

During your audit we look at your average job value, your margin and your conversion rate, then recommend whichever one genuinely makes sense and show you the arithmetic behind it.

Who this is for

Small and medium businesses who have either never tried SEO, or have tried it and come away with a folder of reports and no new customers. If you can tell us roughly what a new customer is worth to you, we can tell you fairly quickly whether SEO is a sensible investment or whether your money is better spent elsewhere. Sometimes the answer is elsewhere, and we’ll say so.

Common questions

How long does SEO take to work?

Expect early technical wins within four to eight weeks, meaningful movement on competitive terms in four to six months, and compounding returns after that. Anyone promising page one in thirty days is either targeting keywords nobody searches or is about to do something you'll regret.

Do I have to sign a long contract?

No. We work month to month. A twelve month lock-in mostly protects the agency from the consequences of underperforming, and we'd rather earn the next month than trap you in it.

Can you guarantee a number one ranking?

No, and neither can anyone else. Google doesn't sell rankings and nobody controls the algorithm. What we do commit to is a clear plan, honest reporting, and enquiry numbers you can check yourself.

Do you only work with Adelaide businesses?

Adelaide is home and a good chunk of our clients are here, but search doesn't stop at the state border and neither do we. We work with businesses across Australia.
